Young’s Welding Inc. fabricates Sheepsfoot Rollers for North American Compaction Products that are ideal for tamping down soil at construction sites. Rugged, economical, and built to withstand heavy use, these rollers are highly effective for compacting plastic soils (clay and silt). On cohesive soils at low moisture levels, the high contact pressures achieved beneath the stoutly welded feet and tips compact better than other types of soil tamping machinery.
